Dynamics and statics of glasses and spin glasses:
proposed to the Research Training Network programme of the European
Commision
and in the process of being signed (proposal number RTN2-2001-00579).

The DYGLAGEMEM network has been proposed to the EC programme on Research
Training Networks.
It has passed the first round of selection and the contract is currently
being negotiated.
The network focuses onto the training of young researchers in the use
of statistical physics to study
the complex phenomena arising (in particular) in glasses and spin glasses.
The methods include theory, experiment, and numerical simulation.
The scientific text of the proposal is here.
Here is the list of the nodes of the network and the name of the scientist responsible for each of them:
When the negotiation with the EEC will be completed, the DYGLAGEMEM
network expects to have
some openings of post-doc positions in the various laboratories participating
to the network.
Below is an indicative agenda of the possible openings which are planned.
The interested candidates for these positions should contact the scientist
in charge of the node where
they want to apply (see list above), since each node will have its
own procedure and selection committee.
We expect that the network will start its activity on October 1st,
2002.
Interested candidates to the positions starting Fall 2002 should contact the groups as soon as possible.
