De: neutron-bounces@neutronsources.org de la part de MCINTYRE, Garry Envoyé: vendredi 27 avril 2018 13:57 À: neutron@neutronsources.org Objet: [Neutron] Recruiting three neutron-instrument scientists at ANSTO [DLM=For-Official-Use-Only] Pièces jointes: ATT00001.txt Neutron-instrument scientist positions in polarised-neutron reflectometry, small- angle scattering, and imaging and strain-scanning The Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO) is home to Australia’s nuclear science and technical expertise. More than 1000 scientists, engineers and experts work at ANSTO and use nuclear science and technology to answer the big questions in the world around us – improving health outcomes, increasing our understanding of the environment and climate change, and identifying new opportunities for Australian industry. We operate much of our country’s landmark science facilities including one of the world’s most modern multipurpose nuclear research reactors, OPAL. One purpose of OPAL is to provide neutrons to a suite of 15 neutron-scattering instruments within the Australian Centre for Neutron Scattering (ACNS), the leading centre for neutron scatterers in the Southern Hemisphere. We are seeking suitably qualified scientists to step into on-going positions of Instrument Scientist on the following neutron-scattering instruments, PLATYPUS (1 position), KOOKABURRA (1 position), and DINGO/KOWARI (1 position). We are particularly interested in applicants with experience in polarised-neutron reflectometry, small-angle scattering (neutron or X-ray), or radiography, tomography and strain scanning (neutron or X-ray). The DINGO/KOWARI role will be shared 80%/20% across the two instruments. The Instrument Scientist operates, maintains, and improves a neutron-scattering instrument at the OPAL research reactor for the benefit and development of the user community. The Instrument Scientist will be required to undertake research and development as well contribute to the development of the user community leading to significant outcomes that meet with ANSTO’s strategic direction. Further details about all four instruments may be found at: http://www.ansto.gov.au/ResearchHub/OurInfrastructure/ACNS/Facilities/Instruments/i ndex.htm Applications must be submitted online, via: http://anstocareers.nga.net.au Job Ref - A180013 Deadline 15 May 2018 For further technical information related to this position please refer to the Position Information Package via the above link or contact Garry McIntyre on (02) 9717 9334.
